Turn Physiological Responses into Knowledge

Body language can be a potent form of communication. What people may say through their words may not tell you as much as what their body does.

Paying close attention to tone of voice, gestures, posture, and vocal inflection can allow you to have a glimpse into the true feelings, emotions, and intentions of others.

"We are all prone to catching the emotions of another person. The physical boundaries between us...are much more permeable than we realize...Pay deep attention to the moods of people, as indicated by their body language and tone of voice...This will register to you viscerally, in your own physical response to them. -Robert Greene (50-51)"
