Leaders are Professionals
A question from Steven Pressfield:
"Do you have amateur habits or professional habits?"
Hopefully the latter.
If you believe that being a leader is critical to your success in work and life, you must become a professional. You must analyze your actions and be honest about what you find.
Are you doing everything you're supposed to do? Or are you hiding behind procrastination?
Eliminate your amateur habits and turn pro.
What amateurs do
Amateurs:
- Procrastinate.
- Make excuses for failure.
- Put things off until "tomorrow".
- Blame others for their misfortune.
- Allow envy to destroy their well being.
- Shiver in the face of fear and uncertainty.
What professionals do
Professionals:
- Take Extreme Ownership for problems and solutions.
- Do the work even when they don't want to.
- Fail fast and learn from mistakes.
- Put the team first.
- Lead.
What will you do?
Will you be an amateur or a professional?
